Fun to see the different areas within the restaurant and all of the historical pictures and items. I went in between lunch and dinner and had the BLT. Phenomenal service!
It had been a few years since our last visit to Weimann’s, but we stopped in for lunch this past Monday and had a great experience. We were greeted, seated, and given menus very quickly. There were plenty of tempting options, but we chose the shrimp remoulade salad, fried green tomatoes, and the muffaletta. Everything was delicious. The muffaletta was a bit different, with thicker slices of ham and corned beef, but still very tasty. It came with fresh, seasoned fries, which were excellent. Portions were very generous—honestly enough for two or even three meals. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I’m looking forward to our next visit to Meridian.
Haven't been to Weimann's in a few years but dropped in for lunch on a recent Monday. We were promptly greeted and seated and given our menus. Plenty of good stuff but we got the shrimp remoulade salad, fried green tomatos, and a muffaletta. They were all very good. The muffalletta was a little different, featuring thick slices of ham and corned beef, but good nonetheless. Came with fresh made seasoned chips. Portions were very generous, so we probably got 2-3x what we needed. All-in-all, a good experience and I look forward to our next drive through Meridian.
Stopped through for a quick lunch on a Thursday afternoon while on a road trip. Cool place - lots of history. All the food was great. Cali was our server and she was wonderful. Everyone enjoyed their food. The sweet potatoes are amazing - possibly the best I've ever had.
Glad I stopped on my way to Jackson, because this is exactly what I was looking for. Great food, full of flavor, and the server Julia was very knowledgeable. The shrimp and grits are a must tree. So much history to this place, I’ll be ordering something delicious again soon next time I’m in Meridian.
For a fist time visit not know what to expect, the peanut butter caught me by surprise. But after spreading it over that cracker, I was pleased and thought it was a great story and a good appetizer before our food came out. I tried the catfish and thought maybe one more piece would be good. But everything tasted great and the service was top tier. 👌
Where do I start? This restaurant is top notch! From the fried green tomato appetizer covered in a lovely sauce with shrimpy sauce on top, to the silky black bottom pie ending everything thing was ten stars!! My husband got the shrimp and grits, and said it was the absolute best he had ever eaten. I'm not a grits fan, but he insisted I take a taste; and boy was he right! They were soooo good. I settled into a filet with the creole cabbage. Every bite was mouth wateringly superb! I only wish I could talk someone out of that creole cabbage recipe, as we're from Texas; and don't get out this way much! I am gonna go home and try out a few recipes for it though. The savory start ends perfectly with a delicate sweet note towards the end ( but not too sweet). Everything was perfectly seasoned, and not overdone. Fantastic! We will always stop in here if we're in the area. My only regret this trip was not having enough time to stop in again, and try many more items from the menu! Do yourself a favor, and go eat at Weidmann’s! You will not be disappointed! We consider ourselves foodies, and I talked about that meal the rest of the trip!
I mean what's to say that hasn't already been said? Legendary restaurant with an amazing history and atmosphere. My steak was cooked perfectly and did ask my waitress to extend my appreciation to the bartender, who made a "spot on" old fashioned.
We had the best time at Weidmann’s Restaurant last night ! Our server was amazing and the food was delicious. The front of house manager stopped by several times to check on us . It was our first time eating here and the next time we are in town we will definitely come back . Monday was half price on a bottle of wine , we enjoyed a nice bottle of Chardonnay. The fried green tomatoes were so good and the filet was exceptional . We finished up with a banana foster and a piece of peanut butter pie . The staff was so kind and informative. I think our servers name was Kayleigh . She was great and told us all about the specials. A great place to celebrate or just to unwind to great service and a delicious dinner . Thank you for a night to remember!
